We are delighted to announce that the next workshop of the transversal project Keywords Reader led by Nicole Kramer and Maren Hachmeister will take place on 20-21 July in Cologne.

The project aims to publish a keywords reader on the terms important to understand the history of care and welfare. Brief entries will shed light on the modulations of words through time and in different languages. Furthermore, relations between different keywords will be highlighted. The editors hope to provide a collection which will inform our network as well as other researchers interested in the history of care. Such a keywords reader might also be useful to those organizing and administering care work, given the fact that European integration makes it increasingly necessary to translate terms and concepts.
